Gary McCord

The bad boys of televised golf. McCord started out as a fair-to-middlin' Tour player better known for his razor-sharp wit and on-course entertainment value than his actual playing ability. However, shortly after accosting CBS exec Frank Chirkinian on a cross country flight and begging him for a "real" job, McCord found his niche. He has since teamed with golf guru Peter Kostis, handling color commentary for CBS's golf broadcasts. The mix is pure gold. At Grayhawk, the pair have set down roots, opening the Kostis/McCord Learning Center where they "teach the old game a whole new way." At the KMLC, golf instruction is made simple.
