: Have those of you that live in Monterey Homes noticed how poorly the concrete roof tiles have been color blended on many homes? If not, go look closely at your roof. The manufacturer, Monier Life Tile, tells me that installers are supposed to evenly blend four colors of tile. However, the Monterey installer, Catalina Roofing, has been saving time and money by simply letting the colors fall where they may and not putting out the extra effort to make sure the tiles are properly blended. If you want to view two of the worst examples go look at the following two addresses: 7230 E. Rustling Pass (west slope color is terrible) and 21329 N. 73rd. Way (east slope color blend is terrible and tile size is different on front and rear of house). My roof is also blended poorly but Monterey Homes will not correct it, shame on Monterey. There have also been many, many construction defects in my Monterey Home. Monterey advertises "impeccable construction" but they lie. I will never buy or recommend another Monterey Home. Does anyone else have construction problems or complaints?

Would you like to see a driveway that should have been torn up and fixed? If so, check out ours. Monterey was in a big hurry to close before the end of the year to get everything on their books and did a sloppy job trying to complete the houses in the Park. I think a lot of people were rooked into the hurry up and close method, and hopefully learned by the mistakes. I know we did. For months after moving in, it was like Grand Central station with all the people coming in and out. The house was to be clean when we moved in, that also was a joke. I think the biggest problem I faced was the guy urinating in the livingroom area while I was doing the first walk thru. There was a port-a-potty across the street.
